@JJJUSCFAN8 Jason, it’s the push-pull type. At the time I made the video, I had never taken the stem out, and had no thought it was different than my other pipes. Once I did take it out, I realized the heating trick was not going to work. Excellent call on the nail polish, I reckon that’s the route I’m going to have to take.

Thanks for the compliment. It is a gorgeous Meer, and one of my favorites in my collection.

How did your pipe stem go on that meerschaum? If it is a push pull type you can also use a small clear nail polish on tenon (part that slides in) and consent to dry for about three days. If it is the screw type (or a future one) it should be under turned until it seats from smoking or if turned to tight will crack meerschaum. That is a gorgeous meerschaum you have-excellent coloring to you! jason

@thepypehype That’s the hard part – the price. Ryan, if it helps any, it only stings until the package arrives.

@Grizzly191186 Grizz Iook forward to seeing your video–Servi is one fine carver! Please some of my video’s as a lot of the stuff written over the years about meerschaums is hooey! Delight in it and consent to it cool and fluff out ashes when you get around to it with a pipe pick and I never knock even a briar on anything as they can also crack . Sometimes I just place more tobacco in while I am still smoking the pipe (hot loading) because I am to bone idle to consent to it die and empty. Servi is a excellent choice. Jason

@JJJUSCFAN8 My wife got me my first Meer 2 years ago for Xmas…sadly due to my lack of knowledge it only lived for 3 days…shattered it Knocking the ashes out…I know STUPID. This year my wife chose to try again and after doing some reading I reckon this will be around for me to hand off to my son. It is a Servi.. hand holding lattice bowl. Like the way it smokes. I can already tell my layer account will be taking a hit so i can get more. will post a vid when i get a cam

@Grizzly191186 Consent to me know when you get one or better yet make a video. They all don’t have to be like this one but fun to share some of the ‘ODD’ piece’s now and then. Jason

@ADzPipes Thanks for the comments and please do a video on your new Yanik pipes so we can see them later as they color. All artists and carvers have their own strengths and weakness’s, I. Beckler used to do fantastic carvings that were very balanced and drilled well for meerschaum and fantastic work-Yanik is doing some very fancy stuff-drilling has been a weak spot in past but may be getting better. @scarz1951 Scarz, See my video on ‘Waxing cleaning Pipes and Stems’ for one of your other questions about coloring. I just found out recently that The Reaper is made to break down and you can smoke it with the three inch middle piece taken out! I will show in a future video. This makes it simpler to smoke when you don’t want such a huge pipe to carry around. Watch that video I mentioned. jason

@KyDugong So pleased you liked it-I scan some of your other comments to others and corn cobb’s are not only excellent for eating but then you can dry them out-drill a hole and add a any kind of stem and of course a small butter and salt. Jason
